Class Description

**All Summer Camps will open for Registration on April 20 at 9 am. ** Please read ENTIRE description before signing up. In this half-day camp, kids will be guided to write and illustrate their own book. We will talk about what makes an engaging story, brainstorm story ideas and explore different types of illustration. Kids will apply their learning in the creation of their very own book! (It will not be fancy!) Games, read alouds, and free creation time will also be part of the activities. *Please note that my focus is on fun and developing art skills so correct spelling/grammar wont be a main focus. Camp will take place outside under a covered porch connected with the backyard. In case of inclement weather or extreme heat, we will move inside. Water will be available, but please send your child with a snack. A minimum of 5 students must be enrolled 4 days before session starts or session will be canceled. In this case refunds will be given to all who have already paid. Refunds for cancellation on student's part will not be given within one week of the camp's start date. Absence policy: No refunds or credits given for absences during Summer Camps. In case of emergency, please contact Heather. All materials included in price. Class takes place at 8509 East Alki Ave Spokane Valley 99212. All classes are taught by Heather Brown, artist and former elementary school teacher. For a sibling discount code, please contact Heather directly.
