Class Description
March 2: Basic washes March 9: Practice with values - mountain range and ocean scenes March 16: Color mixing and color wheel March 23: Guided Sunset Painting March 30: Free choice painting with one-on-one guidance In this small group art course, kids will learn various watercolor painting techniques like color mixing, brush strokes, washes, how to use other mediums with watercolors and more. These techniques will be demonstrated and practiced. Free creation time and Pictionary will also be part of the fun. Please be aware that most students are around the age of 7 to 10 in my classes. Older children/teens are welcome, but they may be the oldest by several years. Signing up with a friend is a great options for older students. Due to extremely limited space, I ask that parents drop their kids off for this class. If you have any specific concerns about leaving, please let me know. You are of course more than welcome to come inside and get them settled. All materials included in price. Class takes place at the in-home art studio: 8509 East Alki Ave Spokane Valley 99212. All classes are taught by Heather Brown, artist and former elementary school teacher.
