Class Description
Please read ENTIRE description before signing up. In this half-day camp, we will practice drawing and shading realistically. Kids will mostly draw from life (fruit, flowers, objects etc.) to help them develop these skills. We will work on noticing what shapes make up different objects and use those to draw what we see in front of us. We'll even spend a day on drawing faces! We will also work on shading realistically and trying using charcoal as well as pencil. Colored pencils will also be available. Free creation time and Pictionary will also be part of the fun. This class is recommended for kids who truly want to learn to draw realistically. Previous experience not required. Camp will take place outside under a covered porch connected with the backyard. In case of inclement weather or extreme heat, we will move inside. Water will be available, but please send your child with a snack. A minimum of 5 students must be enrolled 4 days before session starts or session will be canceled. In this case refunds will be given to all who have already paid. Refunds for cancellation on student's part will not be given within one week of the camp's start date. Absence policy: No refunds or credits given for absences during Summer Camps. In case of emergency, please contact Heather. All materials included in price. Class takes place at 8509 East Alki Ave Spokane Valley 99212. All classes are taught by Heather Brown, artist and former elementary school teacher.
