Class Description

**All Spring Courses will open for registration on March 23** Please read ENTIRE description before signing up. In this small group course, kids will explore colors, shapes, lines and other design principles used in creating abstract art. We'll use a variety of mediums to create our projects. This is a fantastic option for kids that love to create but get frustrated when things don't look realistic, or kids who just like to to design cool patterns! Free drawing time and Pictionary will also be part of the fun. Schedule: - oil pastel and watercolor scribble art - cut paper shapes on a black background - watercolor squares - tempera paint spinning circles - watercolor resist sunshine designs Due to extremely limited space, I ask that parents drop their kids off for this class. If you have any specific concerns about leaving, please let me know. You are of course more than welcome to come inside and get them settled. *Absence Policy: One credit of $20 in the form of a discount code for a future GROUP class sign up will be emailed for ONE absence for any reason. Further absences will receive no credit. Please contact Heather directly in case of emergency. Class dates: Every Monday from 4 to 5:30 pm from April 15 through May 13. Class minimum of 4 students must be met 48 hours before class begins, or course will be canceled. In this case, refunds will be given to all who have already paid. Class is capped at 8 students. All materials included in price. Class takes place at the in-home art studio: 8509 East Alki Ave Spokane Valley 99212. All classes are taught by Heather Brown, artist and former elementary school teacher.
